Fashion Designer Kate Spade Has Committed Suicide

Multiple police sources have confirmed that famed fashion designer Kate Spade has died of an apparent suicide.

It's been reported that she left a note before hanging herself and was found by her housekeeper at her home in New York City.

The NYPD has released a statement, saying:

"On Tuesday, June 5th, at approximately 10:20 hours, police officers responded to a 911 call of an unconscious person inside of 850 Park Avenue in the 19th precinct. Upon arrival officers discovered a 55-year-old female unconscious and unresponsive. EMS responded, pronounced the unconscious female deceased. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing. The deceased has been identified as last name, Broshnahan, Katherine is first name. 55-year-old. Date of birth 12/24/1962, 850 park avenue. "
