Watch! Kelly Rowland Sets The Record Straight After She's Accused Of 'Defending' Chris Brown During Colorism Scandal

Kelly Rowland set the record straight about defending Chris Brown during his colorism scandal in an exclusive chat with OK! while promoting Honey Nut Cheerios.

Kelly, 38, revealed that she inadvertently waded into the drama by tweeting her support for the R&B star right as his feud with Tokyo Vanity was making headlines.

The "No Guidance" crooner was accused of only allowing lighter skin girls at his tables at nightclubs, but Kelly was unaware of the accusations because she was overseas.

"I was actually in Australia. I did not realize ... I was actually giving him credit for, was it a history? He had broken some sort of record, and I had said, 'We love you Chris.' Then I realized on the other part of that was something that was taken in the completely wrong way," the Destiny's Child member explained.

The singer also touched on attending the Lion King premiere with Beyonce and Michelle Williams.

"Michelle always looks great. B looked great ... We looked great together! We didn't even know what we were going to wear. Everybody kinda showed up and we looked like we belonged together. It was hysterical but that always happens," she revealed about their coordinated ensembles.

Kelly got candid while discussing Michelle's battle with mental health as well as her own. She stressed how important it was to talk openly about such a sensitive topic.

"We have to. We still have a long ways to go but we have to keep talking about it and have it be something that is talked about often. If we care about each other as mankind, then we should absolutely stay in contact with people about their hearts and their minds and seeing how exactly their feeling," she said.
