Michael Bublé Tears Up Talking About Son's Cancer
Michael Bublé got emotional when talking about his five-year-old son Noah, who was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2016. He previously described the experience as "hell."
"It sucks and it still sucks," the singer, 43, admitted to Australia's Today. "What we went through is the worst possible thing you can go through as a parent and maybe as a human being." Michael added that there were many times when he and his wife, mother of Noah, Luisana Lopilato "were just surviving, struggling to survive, and to breathe."
"I much rather would have it have been me," he continued. "Many times I wish that it had been."
Michael and Luisana, 31, found strength in the people around them. "Some days when we wished we didn’t wake up, when we did, we felt the love of those people," the "Haven't Met You Yet" singer said as he began to tear up. "We knew they were praying for us, we knew that there was goodness out there. It gave us faith in humanity."
The Grammy winner and Argentinian actress are also parents to two-year-old Elias and two-month-old Vida. They welcomed the baby girl in July.
"I’ve been through a lot," Michael continued. "One of the things about going through something that my family has been through is that it gives you great perspective and one of those points of perspective is that it really allows you to appreciate the good things."
