Nev Schulman Accused Of Sexual Misconduct, MTV Suspends 'Catfish'

MTV has temporarily suspended the production of the very popular show, Catfish: The TV Show.

The Daily Beast has reported that the network has suspended filming for the show as it investigates the allegations of sexual misconduct against Nev Schulman, the show’s host and executive producer.

An MTV spokesperson told the site, “We take these allegations very seriously. We’re working with Critical Content, our third party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation.”

The show premiered back in November of 2012 and is currently in it's seventh season, which premiered this past January of 2018.

As for Nev, this isn't the first scandal he's been involved in. Back in 2006, Vulture reported that the television host was accused of punching a woman in the face in college.

Nev married his wife, Laura Perlongo, back in 2017 and the two share one child together.

The television host has denied the allegations. “The behavior described in this video did not happen and I’m fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth. I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions...but these claims are false,” Nev told Page Six in a statement.
