Australia loves Prince Harry! The famous royal received quite the welcome on Monday as he kicked off his month-long deployment with the Australian defence force.

The Guardian reports that over 1,500 people attended the meet-and-greet in Canberra, and not even the rain could stop the massive crowd from sharing their joy in getting to the see the prince.

Fans of the Harry screamed in excitement as he walked around and met people in the crowd. One young man held an adorable sign that exclaimed, “Redheads Rule!,” and the flattered prince made sure to shake the boy's hand and take a photo beside his sign.

In another super cute moment, a young fan asked the prince to take a selfie, to which he replied, “I hate selfies.” But all hope wasn’t lost since the agreeable Harry did agree to take a “normal photo” with the little girl. And by the look on her face, she was more than pleased with the outcome. How sweet!
