Selena Gomez' Mom Is THREATENING The Weeknd — Don't Bring Drugs Around Her Daughter

Selena Gomez may have fired her mom, Mandy Teefey, back in 2014 as her manager, but that has not stopped Mandy from voicing her opinion about her daughter's love life. And it’s a harsh one! The singer’s mom is actually threatening The Weeknd as he continues romancing his new leading lady, a source told OK! exclusively.

Her mom reportedly was not impressed by the Canadian artist initially and warned him to keep her off drugs. While Selena has never publicly admitted to substance abuse, it’s pretty well known that The Weeknd does not mind indulging in weed every now and then.

However, Selena’s mom quickly realized her tough approach was not getting through to her daughter and saw “that if she didn’t accept her relationship with The Weeknd that she would push Selena away and she does not want to do any more damage to their already damaged relationship,” an insider said.

“After realizing that Selena really is in love with him and it is not just a Bieber rebound, Mandy has had a change of heart,” added the source.

It’s evident that this is no rebound relationship, as the two have already traveled the world together and had no problem displaying major PDA.

Said the insider, “According to her mom, Selena is doing well right now and keeping clean as far as any drugs. The Weeknd took Selena home to meet his family in Toronto this past weekend and Selena’s mom wants to be on the same page as his parents are.”
