Watch: Eating His Feelings? Tom Brady Finally Breaks His Diet Amid Retirement Rumors
Who knew a piece of fruit and a glass of beer could be so scandalous?
Tom Brady, who's maintained an incredibly strict diet—no white sugar, white flour, MSG, caffeine, fungus, dairy or nightshades— got a little crazy on Monday night with late-night host Stephen Colbert when he broke from his tradition and indulged in items many wouldn't consider too sinful.
The 5-time Super Bowl champion, who recently opened up about potentially retiring on account of his family, appeared on Stephen's program to promote his new book, The TB-12 Method.
Stephen couldn't help but poke fun at Tom, as he playfully brought out a bowl full of strawberries despite the fact that Tom said that he hated the popular fruit in an interview with New York Magazine back in 2017. "I hate the smell of strawberries," he claimed.
He also revealed he's never had a strawberry in his life... until last night when he finally tried one and wound up not hating them at all! "Not that bad. I did it, Mom. You proud of me?" he exclaimed.

Stephen wasn't done playing with Tom just yet, as he asked him about food items he wish he could have that are no longer part of his "Superman" diet. "Cheeseburger, beer, pizza... things like that." These were items he enjoyed often in his younger years that have dramatically shifted as he got older.
Another surprise came when Stephen whipped out two cold glasses of beer for the both of them! "I was a pretty good beer chugger back in the day," Tom revealed. "You want to chug a beer?" Stephen then playfully asked. After a couple of seconds, the two down their beers as the audience yelled "CHUG CHUG CHUG CHUG!"
"That was good. That was really good!" Tom happily announced. Turned out cheating on your diet isn't that bad after all!
