Watch: Torrey DeVitto Reveals Her Struggles With Anxiety And Possible Love Interest On ‘Chicago Med!’

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and actress Torrey DeVitto has paired up with Philosophy’s Hope & Grace Initiative to help shed light on mental illnesses in the hopes of banishing negative social stigmas attached to such disorders. Torrey, 31, suffers from anxiety herself and “was very excited to get the call” to work with an organization that helps so many people.

"It’s okay to talk about mental health issues. It’s okay to admit that you have anxiety. It doesn’t take away from your power," she explained to OKMagazine.com exclusively. "It’s totally normal."

The Chicago Med star also confessed that she gets anxiety attacks on set but has learned to deal with them by meditating for 20 minutes a day. She’ll even call her mom to talk through it.

Speaking of the mega-successful Chicago Med, Fire, and PD series, Torrey loves how the shows always crossover and how she gets to with different actors.

As for her character, Dr. Natalie Manning’s, potential love interest, Dr. Will Halstead, she’s not sure where the story will take them! “Maybe someone new will come along for Natalie, you ever know!” she teased.
