Backstreet Boys Release 1st Single & Music Video In 5 Years — Watch It Here!
Backstreet’s back, alright! (No, seriously!)
The Backstreet Boys have made their triumphant return to the music industry after five years.
The boy band of the 90s released a new single, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” and its corresponding music video, on Thursday, May 17.
All five of the original boy band members -- Nick Carter, 38, Brian Littrell, 43, AJ McLean, 40, Kevin Richardson, 46, and Howie Dorough, 44 -- are on the new track, which features their signature but, of course, updated Backstreet Boys' sound. It’s even got a little electro-pop feel to it.
“The minute we heard this song we knew it was special,” Kevin said in a statement. “I geeked out over the piano and synths. When that groove drops on the second verse, COME ON. Great verse, hook, and melodies. Just makes you wanna listen over and over again.”
The group, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, remained true to its boy band roots in the “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” music video. The guys didn’t miss a beat as they showed off their classic synchronized dance moves. #StillGotIt
