Steven Tyler is certainly the judge known for making the most wise cracks on American Idol and often endears himself to the female contestants. And last night was no different. Steven's humor got the best of him when he was praising Lauren Alaina for her performance of Elton John's "Candle in the Wind."
"Lauren Alaina, you know I loved you since the first moment you laid eyes on me," he began jokingly. "We knew what you were all about from the first night we heard you. That was perfect. That was beautiful. Just the right song for just the right verse."

And then he dropped the bomb...
"You keep singing like that and you will be able to afford the rest of that dress," Steven quipped getting a rise from the crowd.
Lauren looked shocked and she began to cover herself up with the train that flowed down the back of her black micro-mini.
"No, we like it like that," Steven shouted to prevent the 16-year-old Nashville native from hiding herself and being embarrassed.
Jennifer Lopez came through and made her feel much better.
"That was amazing. you were gorgeous," she praised. "Sounded gorgeous I think this is the first time everyone in america got to hear what we heard the first time we saw you. That was it. That was amazing baby."
Randy Jackson echoed the same sentiment.
"That is one of the greatest song every written and I'll tell you what for me that is one of the greatest Lauren Alaina performances on this stage," he said. "Very nice, very sensitive and very pro. You can do anything just believe. That was hot"
