‘We’re The Campbells’ Sneak Peek: Erica & Daughter Krista Have Heartbreaking Conversation About Colorism & Bullying
The Campbells are having to tackle some tough issues.
In a sneak peek of the upcoming episode of We're The Campbells, Krista tells her mom Erica about her first experience with bullying and colorism.
"I have a story," Krista first tells her mom and a table of her friends.
"Do I know the story?" Erica asks, only to be disappointed later when Krista reveals that she's never told anyone about what happened to her in the fifth grade.
"These kids were playing a game with a bunch of guys and girls. And I was like, 'What are you guys doing?' And they told me ‘get away, we don’t want no darkies.' So I walked away ... and cried," she said.
A visibly upset Erica is then shown holding back tears.
"I've never heard this story before," she tells the camera. "I never heard someone call my daughter blackie. I know I can't go back in time but I wish I could."
