The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced their nominees for the Golde Globe Awards this year, giving nods to a wide variety of actors, actresses, movies and TV shows.
Kate Winslet is nominated in two categories for two different movies: as Best Actress for Revolutionary Road and Best Supporting Actress for her work in The Reader, while her old friend and costar Leonardo DiCaprio was also honored with a Best Actor nomination for Revolutionary Road.
Kate will be going up against Angelina Jolie, who is also nominated for Best Actress in a drama for her emotional role in Changeling. And the Jolie-Pitts will have even more to celebrate: Brad Pitt was also tapped for a nomination for Best Actor for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which is also nominated for Best Motion Picture, Drama this year.
One nomination that perhaps no one finds surprising is Heath Ledger's posthumous nod for Best Actor for his startling, scary and genius portrayal of the Joker in Dark Knight.
