Robert Pattinson & Taylor Lautner's Kiss: 'Twilight' Co-Stars Say "It Was About Time!"

Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner sharing a smooch at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards? To their Twilight co-stars, it was a long time coming!

Instead of kissing Kristen Stewart when they won Best Kiss, Rob ran up to Taylor (also nominated with Kristen) to give him a big kiss!

While we were shocked, Rob and Taylor's co-stars were not!

"It was about damn time, man," Alex Meraz (Paul) told MTV News after the show.

"It's been up in the air for about three years now. I think we've all been waiting for Rob and Taylor to kiss," Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale) added. "We knew it was coming, and finally it did. Finally, they acknowledged their love for each other."

Kellan Lutz (Emmet Cullen) was a little surprised by the kiss, but took credit for it with Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen).

"They asked us to show them in practice," Peter said.

"We taught them everything they know," Kellan explained.

And newly engaged Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale) said she wanted Kellan and Peter to prove it. "Let's re-enact that!"
