'ASK NATALYA' ADVICE COLUMN: THE WWE SUPERSTAR & 'TOTAL DIVA' ANSWERS YOUR BURNING Q'S EVERY WEEK
Ahead of Total Divas returning Wednesday night on E!, Total Divas & WWE Superstar Natalya is breaking down how she attains her summer bod. Using questions from fans sent to her Twitter account, @natbynature, the beauty is spilling the deets on how to get the best body possible!
Q: What type of diet do you follow to get a beach body? Any recommendations for beginners?
Natalya: I firmly believe in keeping it simple… And this applies to my life inside the ring and out! I eat foods that grow on trees, come from the earth, swim in the ocean and run across grass lol!
I like to eat clean and organically (and organic doesn't mean buying food from an organic section at the grocery store!) organic means sticking with the basics, sticking with foods that aren't processed.
Q: How do you keep track of what your eating?
Natalya: I always found that I got the most results when I track my calories. For me, I keep a log of what I eat every single day. It holds me accountable and lets me see where I've been good and where I can clean up. If you eat something bad, there's something I don't like about seeing that on a piece of paper LOL! Yes the cupcake tastes good... but 500 calories written beside it reminds me it'll take an hour of cardio to burn that baby off.
Q: What's the best tip for a hot body?
Natalya: For an amazing summer body, it's important to hydrate, take multivitamins to make sure you are getting extra nutrients, and fuel yourself multiple times throughout the day so you never feel deprived. A lot of people eat more, when there really actually thirsty or do you hydrated… Sometimes I like to carry around a gallon of water with me… Just to see if I can drink the whole thing. Make it a contest with yourself! I also carry healthy snacks with me at all times! This way you never have an excuse to eat something bad when you're starving! And don't be afraid of good fats…Almonds, avocados, peanut butter and salmon are a huge part of my diet. And lastly… Remember to still enjoy yourself. Once a week, I allow myself a cheat meal! This is my reward for being good all week. And it also gives my metabolism and help me boost to keep me going for the rest of the week!

Q: Could you recommend any at-home exercises? (Without the use of gym equipment)
Natalya: I'm a firm believer in being able to do a work out in your hotel room or in your living room! There are so many times where I'm running against the clock and I physically cannot get to the gym, being on the road and doing live television and filming for a reality show. So making the time wherever I can is crucial. And it's totally possible to get a great workout this way without a gym or weights or equipment.
This way you literally have no excuses! I live by doing lunges and squats with my own bodyweight. 50 to 100 free squats will make you feel the burn! Also, lunges help define that booty and give you a deep stretch across the quad. You can do lunges in place or across your hotel room and back. I also believe in doing push-ups… and modified push-ups… To build upper body strength. 50 push-ups in a row has me blown up!!! Sit ups with your feet under the bed to stabilize them, are a go-to. Try doing one hundred sit ups slow and controlled. You'll see results.
I also like to do handstands up against a wall or a door. It's a more challenging exercise but it really helps decompress the spine if you can stay in handstand for even 30 seconds! If you can do 300 reps combining squats, lunges, push-ups and sit-ups, you will be guaranteed to work up a sweat in your own space. Try it!
