Looks like not everyone feels the love for Jersey Shore and that includes the mayor of Hoboken, N.J. Mayor Dawn Zimmer rejected a request from MTV to film a Jersey Shore spin-off, featuring Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley!

VIDEO: NICOLE POLIZZI SAYS ALTER EGO SNOOKI IS "NOT A ROLE MODEL" BUT NICOLE "CAN BE" Here's how it went down: Mayor Zimmer sent a letter to the network and the show's production company that read, "Based on protecting public safety and quality of life concerns for Hoboken residents, the city has denied a film permit for a spin-off of the Jersey Shore to be filmed in public locations." It continued, "Any attempts to film in a manner that is not permitted without a permit will be dealt with immediately and aggressively by the city of Hoboken." Looks like the governor has her back. A few months ago in September, Governor Chris Christie blocked a $420,000 tax credit for Jersey Shore producers to film in his state. OK! NEWS: THE SITUATION DENIES SLEEPING WITH SNOOKI — "WE DID SOMETHING ELSE" According to GossipCop, he wanted to ensure taxpayers don't pay a bill "for a project which does nothing more than perpetuate misconceptions about the state and its citizens." Now that Hoboken is a no-go, where do you think Snooki and JWoww should hang out on their new show? Is nearby Jersey City next?
