Leona Lewis refused to kiss Gossip Girl hottie Chace Crawford in the video for "I Will Be" because it might upset her boyfriend.

"They wanted me and Chace to kiss in the "I Will Be" video. But I said 'no way,'" she tells the UK's Sugar magazine via the Daily Mail newspaper.

The closest Leona and Chace, both 24, get in the video is a scene shot inside a car.

"I’d just have been too embarrassed, he’s my friend! He’s so beautiful, I mean, look at him - he could be a girl.

"He’d be a really pretty girl. But I just don’t think of him like that. And it wouldn’t be fair to Lou to kiss other guys."

But the temptation doesn't end there! Leona — who used to have a crush on Justin Timberlake — had to get over her feelings for the former 'N Syncer when they worked together on her song "Don't Let Me Down".

"I had a big thing for Justin before I worked with him, but I lose my crush when I meet people. Which is probably good news for Lou!"

Meanwhile, the British singer opened up today about the out-of-the-blue Oct. 14 attack when Peter Kowalczyk allegedly struck her in a Waterstones book store in London.

"It could have been worse. I'm still alive. It is just something you have to deal with when you have fame and the positives far outweigh the negatives," she said on the UK's Sky News.

The reality singing star (she won the UK's version of American Idol, X-Factor) was punched in the face earlier this month as she signed copies of her book, Dreams.

"I don't like to dwell on the negatives," she says, "I'm a very positive person."
