Chris Soules and Witney Carson sparked rumors that they were more than just friends with their undeniable chemistry during performances on Dancing With The Stars. But after The Bachelor star ended his engagement, the former dance partners continued to shoot down rumors by staying just friends.

Witney exclusively revealed to OKMagazine.com how she felt about his breakup and what could’ve caused the engagement to end. (Hint: it doesn’t involve her!).

OKMagazine.com: Do you still talk to Chris Soules?

Witney Carson: I do! He actually texted me today to wish me good luck and told us he was cheering for us from home.

OKMagazine.com: Were you surprised by his breakup with Whitney?

WC: I was sad to see that. I know he is happy and moving on. I know they are both moving on and wish them both the best.

OKMagazine.com: Will Chris be attending any shows?

WC: I’m trying to get him to come down, but he is stuck up in Iowa farming! Of course Chris is farming. I told him that he needs to take a break and come experience the LA life, but he is not down for it.

OKMagazine.com: What sort of a girl do you hope to see Chris with some day?

WC: I hope he finds someone who supports his farming and is okay being in the middle of nowhere. He loves it so much. I hope he marries someone who supports that.
