It’s officially okay to be obsessed with comic books, if the smash success of this year’s hottest new show, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, is any indication. We chatted with star Chloe Bennet about her character’s recent revelation and tonight’s major episode.

OK!: How is Skye doing right now? Where is she at emotionally?

Chloe Bennet: After last week’s episode, her number one goal and everything that drives her is finding information about her family. She doesn’t even know her real name, she named herself Skye. What’s great about what’s happening is that, in true Whedon fashion, you’re born with a family and then you also make your own family throughout your own life, collecting certain friends and people you care about. She’s searching for more information about her family, and is falling into her own makeshift, ragtag family on the plane. Last week’s episode, she had an opportunity to find out more about her family in the redacted files, and she chose to save Fitz and Ward instead. That was a huge move. That shows how much she cares about these people she’s spending all this time with and how much she is growing attached. I think Simmons almost dying really affected her, it was another moment when she realized she really cared about these people.

OK! News: We have four humble requests for the How I Met Your Mother spin-off!

OK!: What is your hope for the story line? Would you like to see people from her past introduced on the show, and have you thought about any castings?

CB: Yeah! I hope she finds out more. It’d be cool if she had some kind of sibling, or something like that. I’m curious to find out more about every single character on the show. Any information from any of their pasts is really interesting to me. I’d love to see if her parents are alive, but I don’t think it’s going to be that easy. Knowing the Whedons, I have a feeling it won’t be that simple. And I’m in the dark as much as the audience. I’m anxiously awaiting each script, and every time I get a script, it’s like Christmas.

OK!: Do you have any dream castings for your parents?

CB: Gosh, I haven’t even thought about that! No. I would like it to be someone super random. It’d be cool if like, Iron Man were my dad, but that wouldn’t make much sense.

OK!: This week’s episode is a big one, because someone is at risk. Are there any hints you can give us about who may be suffering this week?

CB: I definitely think this is an episode where Ward is challenged a bit. It takes place after Thor 2, the aftermath, when we go and clean up the mess that those handsome Asgardian gods [created]. We have to go in and clean up the mess, and in the mess we find an Asgardian relic. When you touch it, for lack of a better word, it makes you freakin’ crazy. It makes you rage. And Ward has to basically touch it, and you’ll find out lots about his past and why he is the way he is. And you get to see him with his shirt off. Whoops, did I just say that? Yes, I did! It’s awesome! I’m sure lots of the ladies will be very excited, and lots of the men will be like, ‘Whatever. He’s not that good-looking.’

OK! News: Check out eight things we learned on the set of Almost Human!

OK!: I was amazed to learn you have such a history with music. Do you have any interest in making music again?

CB: When I was 15, I moved to China and had a bit of a pop star career there for a second. When I was over there, it never felt like I was a singer. I felt like I was playing a character, and I realized that early on. I don’t think I have the best voice, and you have to be so committed to that lifestyle and that image as an artist. Especially as a pop artist, you have to go to certain lengths to get attention, and record sales, and that’s just not something I’m into. I love the intimate moments of being on set, rather than singing. But it was fun! My first performance was in front of 30,000 people, and there’s nothing not fun about that.

OK!: You’ve been surrounded by some crazy-hot guys on the show and on Nashville, so I wanted to see if you could confirm if you’re dating anyone right now?

CB: I don’t like to talk about my personal life, but no. No. I’m not. I’m dating my work life.

OK!: Maybe they could cast you a really hot brother…

CB: That would be really kind of f*cked up!

Photos: See which shows have been picked up and which are canceled so far.

OK!: Somebody really attractive.

CB: I wouldn’t mind that. Work is my number one priority, so that’s the focus right now. Me, and my dog. The man in my life is my [dog].
