Over the summer, when Taylor Swift was spending lots of time with her brand new boyfriend, Conor Kennedy, it was reported that she was planning on buying a $4.5 million mansion right next to the Cape Cod Kennedy compound.

At the time she was in the throes of a new romance and we all assumed it was an impulsive dream that may or may not reach fruition.

Today the summer lovers announced they were officially over, but it appears Taylor still wants to be neighbors with Ethel Kennedy.

While the transaction for the seven bedrooms, 5.5 bathroom, 4,400 square feet mansion hasn't officially cleared, the real estate company associated with the listing says Taylor is still onboard and it will likely close in two weeks.

The "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" singer hasn't been shy about her Kennedy fascination as evidenced by how she gushed to reporters at the Ethel premiere this winter.

"She is one of my favorites," she said of the Kennedy matriarch. "Because you look back at the pictures of her and Bobby and they always look like they are having the most fun out of everybody."
