Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder may look like the perfect couple, but they are actually having major issues behind closed doors and things are getting so bad that they may not last much longer!

“They’re arguing a lot,” a source tells OK! exclusively. That is definitely a shocker, given how lovey-dovey the married couple looks when out and about. But it sounds like Ian has baby fever while Nikki isn’t quite ready.

Since walking down the aisle five months ago, Ian has been wanting a child, but the 27-year-old actress is constantly making excuses as to why it is too soon for her to have a baby. Her main reasons are because she wants to travel and focus on work.

“Nikki is ambitious and worries about derailing her career if she gets pregnant now,” says the source.

This is not good, especially since Ian recently gushed about wanting to start a family with Nikki. “Oh, hell yes! Absolutely. You know, it’s all about practice. It’s not practice makes perfect — it’s perfect practice,” he jokingly told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s the most incredible thing to be happy and secure in something. It’s a pretty crazy time and place to bring a child into this turbulent and insane world — but I really can’t wait to do it and really just love it,” he added. Sounds like Nikki needs to reevaluate her priorities stat!
