As the battle wages on between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt over custody of their six children, the kids have been reportedly put in therapy.

People Magazine reported that Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox are getting professional help to cope with the “traumatic situation.”

The youngest ones “don't understand what’s going on,” added the insider.

The A-listers reached a temporary custody plan recommended by DCFS where the youngsters will stay with Angelina until Oct. 20. Thereafter, Brad will get visitation with a therapist present for the first meeting.

The gang has been with Jolie at her Malibu home before moving to a rental mansion in Hidden Hills, where they have been “watching movies and playing in the pool.”

“They didn’t leave the rental house for days,” said a source. “It was hard for all of them. They are used to more activities and more entertainment so it’s difficult for them to just stay at the house. The younger kids don’t understand what’s going on.”
