10 years ago today, the world got introduced to Ryan Gosling when he got his big break in The Notebook (sorry, Mickey Mouse Club doesn’t count). And honestly? Cinema hasn’t been the same since. Let’s take a look back at all of Ryan’s biggest leading man movie roles since then and, most importantly, how sexy he looked in Every. Single. One of them.

2006, Half Nelson. Ryan Gosling played a teacher in this movie, and clearly pop culture has a thing for hot teachers (waddup, Ezra Fitz). The teacher happened to also be a drug addict, but we’re digressing here.

2007, Lars and the Real Girl. Ok, granted, Ryan Gosling’s character here, Lars, was a creeper who had a romantic relationship with a life-sized Barbie doll. He still looked good though, no?

2010, Blue Valentine. Ryan Gosling played one-half of a doomed marriage in this film, which won Ryan a few awards and, let’s be real, probably millions more female fans.

2011, Drive. Watching two hours of Ryan Gosling wearing tight jackets and racing cars isn’t a bad way to spend your time.

2011, Crazy, Stupid Love. Ryan Gosling perfected the role of playboy-turned-amazing-boyfriend in this classic comedy, which was the first film in which we truly got to appreciate his six pack. And no, Emma Stone, they are not Photoshopped.

2011, The Ides of March. Not even Ryan’s co-star George Clooney could detract from his hotness in this emotionally-charged political drama.

2012, The Place Beyond the Pines. Ryan Gosling made playing a bad-ass motorcylist slash bank robber look easy in this film. His Eminem-like blonde hair and his back full of fake tats made his character Luke’s look only that much more appealing.

2013, Ganster Squad. The 1940′s looks good on RyGos! Ryan suited up to play a sergeant in this period piece. The movie was a flop but at least we now know how great Ryan looks in a three-piece brown suit.

2013, Only God Forgives. This dark, twisted film starred Ryan as a drug-smuggling murder. We are not endorsing his character’s behavior in this film whatsoever. We are just saying that Ryan looked so good while playing bad.
