Although many feel he was snubbed when it came to nominations, that didn’t stop Daniel Radcliffe from taking the stage by storm at the 2011 Tony Awards at the Beacon Theater in NYC on Sunday. The 21-year-old actor performed the song “Brotherhood of Man” alongside his How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying castmates at the beginning of the show.

After giving a stellar performance, Daniel presented the Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical award to Sutton Foster and Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play award to Frances McDormand, an actress who received much criticism for the wearing a casual striped maxi dress and denim jacket to the polished award ceremony.

OK! NEWS: PRODUCER TALKS DANIEL RADCLIFFE’S TONY SNUB

Neil Meron, the producer of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, opened up to OK! on the Tony’s red carpet about Daniel’s snub.

“My business partner and I were the ones that talked Dan into doing this show,” he shared. “He always wanted to do a Broadway musical and we’ve been talking for a couple of years about which one it should be so we settle on this.”

He added, “His dream was to star in a Broadway musical and we thought the perfect role for him would be Finch and it works, it really does fit him.”
