Aaron Carter has been arrested on DUI and marijuana charges, according to multiple reports.
The 29-year-old singer was reportedly pulled over around 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, in Habersham County, Georgia, which is about 90 miles north of Atlanta.
Aaron was charged with DUI, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to reports, the pop star refused to undergo a breathalyzer and drug test to determine whether he was driving under the influence.
Police told ABC News that the “Come Get It” singer was in the vehicle with his girlfriend, Madison Parker, who was also arrested and charged with obstruction of law enforcement officers and two drug-related charges.
Hours before the couple’s arrest, Aaron tweeted that he would not be able to make a show that night in Kansas City due to “transportation issues.”
“He promises to come back soon. He apologizes to his fans in KC and Mix93.3,” he wrote.
