Gwyneth Paltrow & Jessica Alba At War On Set Of ‘Planet Of The Apps’
It seemed like a good idea at the time: Get famous entrepreneurs Gwyneth Paltrow (Goop) and Jessica Alba (The Honest Company) to mentor app developers on a new reality series, Planet of the Apps. But sources say that offscreen, the stars are waging a very cold war. “Gwyneth seethes that Honest was valued at a billion dollars,” says an insider. “So she takes digs at the fact that the company was sued over some of its product ingredients, saying things like, ‘Goop is a very ethical company.’ Jess, meanwhile, talks about how Honest ‘connects with real women,’ whereas Goop is constantly slammed for catering to the wealthy.” The two also have different work styles, the source adds: “Gwyneth is a delegator, while Jess likes to roll up her sleeves — she’s even criticized Gwyn’s hands-off style. Producers are going nuts trying to keep things peaceful.”
