Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga have been engaged for nearly nine years — and though their romance has outlasted most Hollywood marriages, a friend of the singer says the pair are still no closer to walking down the aisle. “Jennifer gets pestered all the time by her friends, who ask when she is setting a wedding date, but she never gives a straight answer,” the friend says. “She just gets very defensive.” And though Jennifer, 35, blames the stalling on her career — besides working on a new album, she just finished her stint as a coach on The Voice U.K. and will join the American version of the show in the fall — David’s patience is wearing thin.
