Phaedra Parks And Apollo Nida Divorcing: Real Housewives Of Atlanta Couple 'Amicably’ Ending Marriage

The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’s Phaedra Parks is calling it quits with her husband of five years Apollo Nida. Their marriage took a major blow in July when Nida was sentenced to eight years in prison for bank fraud.
In the months following his sentencing, it remained unclear if Parks, 40, and Nida, 35, would move forward as a couple. But Parks put an end to the questions on Friday when she released a statement to E! saying she would be divorcing Nida.

According to her rep, Parks “has retained an attorney with the intent of amicably ending her marriage.” Nida checked himself into a Kentucky prison in September to begin serving his sentence.
Parks faced cheating allegations ahead of the news she’d be splitting from Nida. In the trailer for the upcoming season of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, Nida accused Parks of stepping outside of their marriage with a man named Chocolate. Parks rep Steve Honig denied the claims when speaking with Radar Online. He said Parks “had been a completely faithful wife” and she “doesn’t know any men named Chocolate.”
