Baby makes Matthew McConaughey ‘sturdier’

Matthew McConaughey sounds ecstatic to be expecting a baby with girlfriend Camila Alves. The deodorant-shunning star blogged yesterday that they “made a baby together…its 3 months growin in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far … we are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation.”

Just one year ago I could tell he had what it takes to be a good dad.

“All my friends have kids, and they all say life just opens up and it doesn’t become about you, it becomes about them,” he tells me at NYC's Waldorf=Astoria Hotel. “There’s a resonance where your heels I’m sure dig into the ground a little harder and a little more sturdier than they would as just a single gypsy or what have you. You have responsibilities and you’re responsible for the well being of quite a few people who need to be led along the way. Keep ‘em safe and fed, lead them in the right direction.”
