OK! can now confirm that beleaguered pop star and her divorce attorney Laura Wasser have gone their separate ways. Wasser filed papers this morning removing herself from the ongoing battle between Brit and ex-hubby over the custody of their two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and one-year-old Jayden James.
Britney's relationship with Wasser had gone back to negotiating the pre-nup between the pop star and K-Fed. But legal documents obtained by OK! show that Laura wanted off the custody case as early as August 13 when her legal eagle father Dennis Wasser (in practice with his daughter) notified Kevin’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan that he was assuming the reigns. But the Wassers may have decided that life was too short to live in Britney’s world — having a client who never takes your advice is no fun! -- and gave her time to find replacement counsel.
