While most mothers engaged in a custody battle would be thrilled to have the court grant them visitation rights that had been taken away only days earlier, you'd be hard-pressed to see the joy in this afternoon.
Immediately following Commissioner Scott Gordon's ruling that, while her ex-hubby, , was to retain full temporary custody of their sons Sean Preston, 2, and 1-year-old Jayden James, Britney would be allowed limited visitation rights.
But instead of rushing to K-Fed's home to play hopscotch with her boys, Brit spent hours driving aimlessly around Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, trailing a caravan of paparazzi behind her.
"This was no chase," a witness explains to OK!. "Britney drove well below the speed limit, smiling, laughing and posing for photos." According to the witness, the pop star made two illegal U turns on busy, six-lane Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills (including one right in front of OK!'s West Coast office) before finally ending up at the Beverly Wilshire — her second posh hotel in just as many days. She had previously been holed up at the Peninsula Hotel.
