TV stars are always welcome to stop by our swanky OK! offices and plop down on the couch with me for a chat. My most recent visit was Extreme Makeover: Home Edition alum , now host of the new HGTV series, Color Correction (airing Thursdays at 9:30 p.m.), where she fixes everyday design problems with a splash of color. After hounding her for some advice on my own décor style (aptly known as bland and beige), I grilled her on more important matters: what colors should expectant parents and use on the walls of their impending bundle of joy's nursery? “People always get caught up in pink for girls and blue for boys,” Constance replied. “But they’ll be happy to know that girls are drawn to teal and purple, and boys also dig red and green.” Constance suggested that it’s not so much the color, but the saturation of hue, that will really affect their baby-to-be. “If you want to stimulate the child, go for bright, vibrant colors,” she offered. “But if they want a calm baby, keep the colors more muted.”
