Dennis Quaid, Wife Welcome Twins

It's a boy and a girl for Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberly.

The couple's first children, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, were born on Thursday in Santa Monica, Calif., via a gestational carrier, his rep confirms.

Thomas, who arrived first at 8:26 a.m., and Zoe, who entered the world two minutes later, are the biological children of Dennis and Kimberly, 35, his rep explained in the pregnancy announcement in April. The embryos were transferred to the gestational carrier.

The 53-year-old actor and his wife learned of their children's sexes in June, proudly declaring "we've seen pictures of them."

The babies join Jack, 15, Dennis' son from his previous marriage to Meg Ryan.
