Garcelle's Double Dose of Motherhood

After giving birth to twin boys in October, actress Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon tells OK! she's learning more and more about them every day.
“I thought they would be connected the minute they get out of the womb and it’s just the past two months that they’ve discovered each other, that they’ll make eye contact and smile at one another,” Garcelle explains to OK! “I thought they’d come out and hold hands all the time, but it wasn’t like that. The thing that I find fascinating for me is that I absolutely love them the same. There isn’t one favorite.
“But my husband says, ‘whoever sleeps through the night—that’s my favorite!’"
Garcelle said husband Mike Nilon is a great wrangler of the twins, named Jax and Jaid, “He’s such a great dad. It’s funny — the other day he had one in one of those Baby Björns and he was pushing the other in the stroller and these older women walked by, and they were like, ‘where were you men when we were raising children?’ Guys now are doing more!”

As a husband, Mike is also first-rate, Garcelle revealed to OK! at the Step Up Women’s Network 2008 Inspiration Awards: “He’s just really loving. He loves me no matter what I look like. It’s really important to find somebody that you love and you want to share your life with, and especially when there’s kids involved. We don’t take it lightly.”
Garcelle got back into shape after the twins by doing Pilates and utilizing the food delivery system Sunfare. “When you have twins, there’s a lot to do, so making dinner, going shopping is really difficult and to have this food delivered every day, it’s fresh and it’s good, it was brilliant. I think the best part is the convenience of it. They give you a menu and you can sort of change things on the web site—what you want and what you don’t want but you got three meals, two snacks a day and it gets delivered to your house and it’s all packaged and fresh.”
