It's official! After several false reports, Angelina Jolie's doctor has confirmed that the Oscar winner and her partner, Brad Pitt are now the proud parents of twins — one boy and one girl — named Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.
According to Dr. Michael Sussman, the doctor who delivered the twins at Lenval Hospital in Nice, France, the children were delivered by C-Section on Saturday evening and weighed in at 5.03 lbs (Knox Leon) and 5 lbs (Vivienne Marcheline).
"Everything is going well," said Sussmann in a statement to the Associated Press. "The mother, the babies, the father are doing marvelously well."
Angelina had checked into the hospital on July 1 in anticipation of the birth.
The babies are the fifth and sixth children for the longtime couple and make big brothers and sisters out of Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2.
The actress emphatically "announced" she was pregnant at the Independent Spirit Awards in February, flaunting a very pointy baby bump on the red carpet. After months of keeping silent, Angelina finally confirmed reports she would be having two great expectations on the Today show in May when Kung Fu Panda co-star — and new dad — Jack Black let it slip.

"Poor Jack! Immediately when he saw Brad, he apologized," Angelina . "But we both told him very clearly that we had only waited because, as you do with any baby, but especially twins, you wait until all results are in on their health, and that we were past that point and if somebody had asked me directly, I would have said yes. So he didn't do anything but take the heat himself."
Just two weeks later, rumors swirled that the 33-year-old Wanted star had delivered her babies in France, but were later .
Though Brad, 44, and Angelina have been quite vocal about expanding their clan, the Oscar winner says they weren't expecting to multiply so quickly, admitting the dual pregnancy was a "shock." And while parenting six kids may sound difficult to many, the two are up for a challenge and are determined to make it work.
"Our real focus now is: How do we make sure that the babies' coming is not upsetting to other kids and makes them feel included," Angelina said. "We're trying to find ways where it can be a fun group thing. But the hard thing is every single day trying to find time for each of them privately. Everybody gets special time so we can make sure we know where they're at."
