Nicole Richie is a mom!
According to a statement from the 26-year-old socialite's rep, Nicole gave birth to a six pound, seven ounce baby girl named Harlow Winter Kate Madden Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The Simple Life star and her rocker beau, Joel Madden, checked into the hospital earlier in the day. This is the couple's first child.
Also spotted there — her father Lionel Richie and her younger sister Sofia, a source tells OK!.
"Lionel is there with his youngest daughter and several other unidentified people," the source tells OK!.
Little Harlow is a week early — , Nicole wasn't due until "some time" next week.
Today's happy arrival culminates (and kicks off) a life anew for the former troubled celebutante. After surrendering herself for a DUI (for which she would ultimately serve an 82-minute jail sentence), Nicole confirmed her pregnancy in a three-party interview with Diane Sawyer in July.

“Yes, I am. We are,” she proudly declared.
Nicole vowed to turn her life around for the sake of her child, and, in December, the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation with Joel with the goal of providing opportunities for children and families in need.
“We’re just trying to do our part, but also to start our child’s life off right, and to have the right priorities and the right frame of mind for the next 20 years of our lives,” Joel, 28, told OK!
