Katie Holmes Completes NYC Marathon!

As OK! , Katie Holmes quietly slipped into her running shoes Sunday morning and, along with almost 40,000 other dedicated runners, ran more than 26 miles through the streets of Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Manhattan to complete the grueling New York City Marathon.
The morning began at sunrise for the Cruise/Holmes family, as they departed their room at the Carlyle hotel at 6:30 a.m. However, the race itself was all about a personal effort by Katie, as the Thank You for Smoking actress was able to run much of the distance while going unnoticed by cameras or other competitors.
Katie, 28, remained just another runner until she entered the stretch, along Manhattan's 1st Avenue, where a clandestinely dressed Tom awaited her to give her a congratulatory kiss. Sources tell OK! that her superstar hubby had also planned on throwing a huge bash in a tent in Central Park near Tavern on the Green, with all her family flown in from Ohio. Katie finished the race in 5 hours, 29 minutes and 58 seconds.
