BABIESSoap Star to Substitute for Elisabeth Hasselbeck on The View

The View -- and viewers -- are seeing a new face come Wednesday.
One Life to Live star Kassie DePaiva will be the first celebrity substitute co-host on the chatfest for expectant mom Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who will go on maternity leave next week, ABC announced.
Kassie will join regular panelists Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd for the Oct. 24 broadcast, marking her fifth time guest-hosting the talk show.
Elisabeth announced this week she will start her maternity leave earlier than expected after her quarterback-husband Tim Hasselbeck signed with the Arizona Cardinals. The 30-year-old intended to work right up until her Nov. 11 due date, but Tuesday will be her last day on The View for now.
"I have to take early maternity leave so that I can get there and actually introduce the doctor to my parts, before she pulls a child out of me," she said on Tuesday. "But I'll be back, after the hiatus."

The couple has a 2-year-old daughter Grace and has not found out the sex of their baby.
