Starting to See Results!

Well, good news — I lost 3 lbs this week! All this hard work is finally paying off.
It's been a hectic few days, that's for sure. Sunday, Cody and I went to the TV Land Awards. That was such a great event, I was amazed at all the classic TV celebrities that were there. Justin Timberlake, Robin Williams, Samuel L Jackson and a ton of others were there as well.
I got a great picture of Cody and me with Kathy Griffin too:
I love her! This other picture of Cody and me is with the executive producers of Desperate Housewives:

And how cool is this? They used to deliver food to the set of Full House before they got their big break, what a small world!
We really enjoyed having a limo for the night and getting all dressed up. I haven't done that in a while. Being a new mom, you learn to love Juicy Couture sweatsuits.
We were up in L.A. on Monday and Tuesday doing several other interviews and meetings for upcoming projects. It seems as though life is getting very busy, I love it!
Then my trainer Josh came out again today and worked me hard! I'm struggling to walk up the stairs now because my muscles are so sore.
He's a great motivator though and makes me push myself harder than I would do on my own. He's also given me some great tips to help me stick to my workout program:
1.Variety
Challenge the body in new ways (Change up the workout so your body has to constantly adjust)
2.Intensity
Bring your best every day. (Go hard every day and push yourself as much as you can)
3. Focus
Live in the moment. (Don't let outside influences affect your current state of mind. If you're there to workout for an hour, that's where your head should be)
4.Understand Your Limits
Don't over train. (Workout hard but smart; think quality over quantity. Rest and recovery are just as important as the workout itself. Proper nutrition and sleep is crucial to achieving your desired results)
5. Change Your Lifestyle Patterns
Fitness is more then just going to the gym, it's a lifestyle change. Start with small behavior changes and incorporate them into your daily routine.
I gotta say, the change is the hardest part! I love my sweets and the occasional cheeseburger.
But when I see the results like I did this week with my weight loss, it makes it much easier. Plus, I do have my yummy Nutrisystem food, so at least I haven't lost good food with my new plan!!
