Jay-Z & Beyonce Marry in Private Ceremony
April 4 2008, Published 8:48 a.m. ET
After six years of dating and a thousand rumors of their wedding later, Jay-Z, 38, and his lady love Beyonce, 26, were married on Friday night in New York City.
Though there has been no official confirmation, a source inside the party confirms to OK! "they definitely got married." The event had an all-white theme, and included star-studded guests like Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin and Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
The ceremony was followed by a lavish party at Jay-Z's penthouse apartment in NYC's TriBeCa neighborhood, decorated with white orchids and the number '4,' signifying the birthday number Beyonce and Jay-Z both share (Beyonce in September, Jay-Z in December). OK! has learned that Amy's Orchids provided 50,000 to 60,000 custom-designed white orchid blooms from Thailand for the ceremony. And musical entertainment was provided by DJ Cassidy, who spun records for the intimate gathering of friends and family.

Early Friday morning, workers erected a white tent atop the rapper's apartment building. Not long after, an SUV carrying what seemed to be AV equipment arrived, followed by deliveries of party rentals and flowers.
Guests started arriving around 7 p.m. ET, beginning with the couple's family members, Beyonce's parents Tina and Matthew Knowles, little sis, Solange, and Jay-Z's mother, Gloria Carter.
Eyewitnesses tell OK! that the party continued into the early morning hours and that the music was still going strong as late — or should we say as early — as 2 a.m.! A grinning Gwyneth Paltrow was seen leaving without hubby Chris Martin at 2:15 a.m. Matthew Knowles emerged shortly afterwards.
Buzz that the couple was planning to marry started last Tuesday when they went to get a marriage license in Scarsdale, N.Y.
