Maggie Gyllenhaal & Peter Sarsgaard Wed

Longtime couple Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard have gone that extra step and made their union official on paper: The two were married in Brindisi Italy on Saturday. Maggie's famous bro Jake Gyllenhaal and his lady Reese Witherspoon were in attendance at the ceremony in a small chapel.

Peter's rep tells OK!: "We are happy to confirm that Maggie and Peter were married on Saturday, May 2."

Maggie and Peter have been dating since 2002, and have a two-and-a-half year old daughter together, Ramona. The twosome announced their engagement in April 2006. They starred together in 2003 indie flick In God's Hands. Peter was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2004 for Shattered Glass and also appeared alongside Maggie's brother Jake in Jarhead.

Maggie is also an indie darling, starring in Donnie Darko, Sherrybaby and Secretary, as well as blockbuster Dark Knight.
