Scarlett & Ryan Marry in Canada

Just as pals of Scarlett Johansson recently told OK!, the actress and her handsome beau, actor Ryan Reynolds, had anything but a typical Hollywood wedding as the pair tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Vancouver, Canada, on Sat., Sept. 27.

"Scarlett's not big on some over-the-top wedding with white doves and 300 guests," a friend of the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star explained to OK! in August.

Since ScarJo and her Canadian cutie began dating in early 2007, they have made it a habit of keeping their romance away from the cameras, rarely even being photographed together, and attending public events solo.

The couple announced their engagement in May when Scarlett showed off her engagement ring at NYC's Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Gala.

Before finding each other, Scarlett had dated brooding actor Josh Hartnett, while Ryan had broken off his engagement to Canadian pop star Alanis Morissette.
