Actor Stephen Collins Fired From Ted 2 After Child Molestation Allegations Surface

Stephen Collins has been axed from the upcoming Ted 2 film amid allegations that he molested several children.
Representatives for the movie on Tuesday that the 67-year-old was fired from the role, Entertainment Weekly reports. His removal came on the same day that an audio recording was released in which the actor is allegedly heard admitting to molesting children. The recording was made during a 2012 therapy session with his wife Faye Grant, reports say.

The film’s reps offered no comments on the reason for the firing.
Ted 2 is the sequel to Seth MacFarlane’s hit 2012 comedy Ted. Collins hadn’t been announced as an official cast member for the movie. And it isn’t known what role he had in the project. The film is currently in production and will be released on June 26, 2015.
Police have launched an investigation into the molestation allegations and believe that there may have been three victims. Collins is best known for playing Pastor Eric Camden on the television series 7th Heaven.
