Zimmerman, now 30, shot and killed unarmed teenager Travyon Martin in February 2012, and his acquittal this summer for second-degree murder and manslaughter was the source of wide-spread controversy and racial unrest. The details of his arrest today are still developing, as he is still in route to county jail at this time, but the arrest occurred after a call about a domestic disturbance.
