How Katie Holmes Got Her Best Body Ever

Can you say “winning?” Katie Holmes, who recently confirmed her longtime relationship with Jamie Foxx, has now spilled the beans about how she got her rocking body.
To be clear, Katie has never really been out of shape, but the 39-year-old has really morphed into a serious warrior—thanks to her role in the upcoming thriller, Doorman. The actress will play an ex-marine, which convinced her to amp up her fitness routine by incorporating heavier weight than she was used to.
“I was a five-pound weight person, and now I can do 15, 20,” Katie boasted.
But that’s not all she’s done to whip her body into tip-top condition. She’s also taking up boxing, which she said was “a fun, empowering workout.” She added that it “puts me in a much calmer place.”
But as any fitness buff would tell you, a great workout must be paired with an equally amazing diet. Insiders revealed to OK! that she’s very specific about what she eats. Specifically, she’s maintained a “high-protein, low-carb diet.” Like any human, though, she’s had cravings from time to time. Her vice? Mexican food. Even still, “she’ll eat only half a quesadilla.”

Katie’s diet and fitness regimen may seem daunting to some, but she has had a great motivation for it—her 12-year-old daughter Suri (with ex Tom Cruise). The insider concluded, “Katie has every reason to stay healthy. She’s teaching Suri about loving yourself.”
