bubba watson masters

While you were busy dancing at Coachella or finding your best pencil skirt for a Mad Men viewing, Bubba Watson was busy winning his second Masters Tournament. Who is the man wearing the green jacket (again)? Learn a few things about the very talented Watson and his impressive skills.

OK! News: Watch an adorable moment of Bubba Watson and his son at the Masters.

1. His real name is Gerry Watson. We applaud the switch to Bubba, though. It is much better for sports branding.

2. He has an average drive of 317 yards. Ponder that for a moment. He picks up a piece of metal, swipes at a little white ball, and it travels 951 feet. Flies right over three football fields. He can also reach a ball speed of 194 mph, so like, don’t make him mad?

3. He is on the few left-handed golfers out there.

4. He met his wife in college at the University of Georgia. He was on the golf team, she was on the women’s basketball team. He went on to win the Masters, she went on to the WNBA. Oh, and she’s 6’4. What a fun family!

5. Watson and his family now live in Tiger Woods’ old mansion in Florida. Yep, the one where Elin Nordegren attacked his car in the driveway. If those walls could talk!
