Ok, that’s better. Just yesterday afternoon, after I had an amazing massage at the vitaminwater house courtesy of Utah’s Green Valley Spa and Resort, (how I was distracted while waiting at the house an hour to interview 50 Cent), all that kept going through my head is, ‘I’m so lucky to truly have a charmed life.’ Sitting in my studio hotel room I’m sharing with three other girls and and working and hardly making a dent for the last few hours now, more hours than I slept, I’m thinking, ‘Ok, it’s occasionally charmed.”

So, I’m taking a break from ‘working’ and going to reminisce about yesterday and try to recreate the calm I felt then through sharing via blogging…

Yesterday I willed myself out of bed (after a late night at Marquee’s Rock Band Lounge), drank an Emgen-C and a coffee and a bottle of water, regretted the chocolate covered gummi bears I binged on before bed a few hours before, and made my way to the ‘G’ Gatorade Gym at Village at the Yard for a personal training session with Gunnar Peterson. Gunnar has trained a who’s who of Hollywood from Jennifer Lopez to Penelope Cruz and Sylvestor Stallone, all stars who seem to have strict discipline when it comes to maintaining their physiques, and all stars who seem to be naturally physically stronger than myself. I work out regularly, as those who read this regularly know, but for some reason I never feel like my upper body gets any stronger. That said, when I went into this session on little sleep, a tummy full of gummi bears, and would have had a hangover if I was unfortunate enough to get those, I was afraid.

When I met Gunnar he immediately picked up on the apprehension my expression couldn’t conceal and asked if I wanted a light work out, or if I wanted to ‘work out.’ I got myself there so I went for the full-on workout. He was pleased. I quickly prefaced that I was not so strong and I must have been hit in the head sometime in recent years because this former gymnast no does do very well in the balance department either.

As we made our way through an increasingly difficult circuit of cardio and strength training he called me on what he presumed was a bluff and told me I was stronger than I gave myself credit for and actually in pretty good shape. That was encouraging.  The workout pushed me to the point that I’m sore today, but stopped short of making me want to throw up or cry in pain. It actual left me full of adrenaline for the rest of a very long day.

Overall opinion: I never enjoyed working out so much. It’s great having a trainer because you can just go through the motions without having to think so much. You run till they tell you to stop on the level they set you on and you do reps with the weight given until they graciously tell you you’re done. Afterwards I left with a feeling of accomplishment and admiration for Gunnar. If only I could afford to keep him.

Next I grabbed some breakfast in the T-Mobile Diner with my friend Matt Donnlly from Celebuzz.com where I fooled myself into thinking the sugar-filled granola was remotely healthy and went by the Spongebob Lounge where I was introduced to everything Spongebob that was on display to celebrate the square optomist’s 10th anniversary. My favorite was the logo on the bag of Russell Simmons-designed pendant that said, “When you’re blue, think yellow.” Russell's  $79,000 blinged out Spongebob necklace will be auctioned off for the Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF).

Feeling a bit old after playing with Spongebob and realizing I was already an adult when he was born, I head over to the Sephora Lounge where my fabulous friend Simon spoiled me. I got the coolest new mascara from Givenchy with the oddest looking brush I probably wouldn’t have tried if they hadn’t applied it for me, I got my make-up done by Natalie from Sephora, even though caking on lots of make-up makes me feel like I’m dressed for Halloween, and I got a cool gold owl ring from Kelly Bensimon’s jewelry line courtesy of Owl’s Lab.

4pm: I headed back to Village at the Yard because Chris Meloni was expected at the ‘G’ Gatorade Gym to try his luck keeping up with Gunnar – and I wanted to ask him how his co-star Mariska Hargitay, who recently suffered a collapsed lung, was feeling. He never showed up. How rude. Since I was there I was whisked into the Living Proof lounge and got a blow-out with international celebrity hair dresser Ward.

4:45: I raced up to the vitaminwater house to interview 50 Cent prior to OK!’s 4th Annual Sundance Dinner party, where 50 performed! 50 was running late so I got a massage while I waited, as mentioned above.

Ok, without any time to even read this over more or less edit, running out for late lunch at the MySpace Café at The Sundance Lift and then zipping back over to Village at the Yard to see my friend at the Fred Segal Fun lounge. Will write more about the party (that you’ll read about in an upcoming OK!), another late night at Tao etc. etc upon my return ;)
