Alec Baldwin Not Ready to Rock; Drops Out of 'Rock of Ages'

As the Broadway hit Rock of Ages heads to the big screen with Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Russell Brand and Julianne Hough, there's one A-lister who's officially dropping out and that's Alec Baldwin.

As for the reason why his last minute change of heart? Sounds like Alec has a personal medical condition that needs immediate attention, according to Deadline (via Huffington Post). Considering filming will begin on May 23, someone else will have to be cast in his role as Dennis Dupree, an aging rock star and bar owner, who has a big musical number in the movie.

The Emmy-award winning actor on 30 Rock is still going to rock TV since he has one more year left on his contract. Alec's also on tap to work with Woody Allen in his next flick so here's hoping his medical condition gets resolved soon, whatever it is!
