Now, for the first time after his split with Kate Bosworth, the True Blood heartthrob has given a bit of insight into his relationship with Kate. Both Alexander and Kate are gearing up for the release of their film Straw Dogs, on the set of which they made a strong connection.

“Kate is such a great actress, and she’s so much more than a good-looking Hollywood starlet," he tells Blackbook magazine in their new issue. "We were just really good friends at the time. But we shared a really special experience on that film.” As for what went wrong with their relationship, the actor remained tight-lipped.
“I make it a rule not to talk about myself and Kate," Alex shared. "I so desperately try to keep my private life out of the tabloids because becoming a celebrity rather than an actor can really get in the way of a good performance.”
