'All My Children' & 'One Life to Live' Get Another Life...Online

Sure, ABC may have canceled the long-running soap operas All My Children and One Life to Live but when it comes to daytime drama, it looks like they'll forge ahead to live another day. Online, that is. ABC announced that it has sold online rights to the soaps to a Hollywood production company that will keep them alive and kicking as Web series.

Although the final TV broadcasts for All My Children and One Life to Live will air in September and January, respectively, the soaps will move to the Web and include the same cast and crew!

According to The Washington Post, Brian Frons, the president of daytime, Disney/ABC Television Group, said both shows are "iconic pieces of television history." He added, “Each of the shows have made an indelible mark on our culture’s history and informed our consciousness in their own way. We are so glad production company Prospect Park has assumed the mantle for these shows and that they will continue for the fans.”

The creator of both soaps, Agnes Nixon, mentioned she is “so happy for our loyal fans, whom we love so much, and who have been so supportive over the last 40 plus years.”

Now that the two soaps are moving online, the question is, will you continue to watch them?
