'Amazing Spider-Man' Japanese Trailer Is Darker and More Detailed

So says Andrew Garfield in the opening of the Japanese trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man. The trailer offers another perspective of the film, which will be released July 3.

While the inital trailer focused on Peter's struggle to balance his secret identity with his regular life, this version gives a bit more background on the dynamic between Peter and Dr. Curt Conners (Rhys Ifans). As, we know, Peter is on a quest to find out what happened to his parents, and Dr. Conners, aka, The Lizard, taunts him: "You want the truth, Peter? Come and get it."

The film also stars Andrew's real-life love, Emma Stone, as Gwen Stacy, and Martin Sheen and Sally Field as Peter's aunt and uncle, Ben and May Parker.
